Hillfort International School ("we", "us", "the School") is committed to protecting the privacy and personal data of all students, parents, staff and website visitors. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store and protect your personal information.
We may collect the following types of personal information: Full names, dates of birth, contact information (phone, email, address), academic records and progress reports, health and medical information (where relevant), photographs and video footage taken at school events, and website usage data.
Personal information is collected and used for the following purposes: Administering student admissions and enrolments, communicating with parents and guardians about school activities, academic reporting and progress monitoring, safeguarding and child protection obligations, compliance with government regulations and legal requirements, and improving our school services and website.
We do not sell or share your personal data with third parties for commercial purposes. We may share data with government bodies (such as the Ministry of Education), examination bodies (WAEC, NECO), and trusted service providers only where necessary and in compliance with applicable laws.
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against unauthorised access, loss, or disclosure. Our School Management System (SMS) is password-protected and access is restricted to authorised staff only.
We retain student records for a minimum of 7 years after a student leaves the school, in line with Nigerian educational regulations. Website usage data is retained for no longer than 12 months.
Under Nigeria's NDPR (Nigeria Data Protection Regulation), you have the right to access your personal data, request corrections, request deletion (subject to legal obligations), and withdraw consent for specific data processing activities.
